David Joseph, Inc. Attorney Placement in Washington, DC
Philosophy

Conceptually, an attorney recruiter's job is simple.  Initially, a recruiter should help an attorney determine when it makes sense to find a new position.  When the time to make a change has arrived, the recruiter should help the attorney (now a candidate) find a new position that is desirable in terms of type of work, compensation, work environment, reputation, and growth potential.  The recruiter should facilitate change when it's time.  The recruiter is the agent of change.

Steve Hitchcock, founder of David Joseph, Inc., enjoyed a fourteen-year legal career which included changing firms and practice areas.  He understands the varying pressures and expectations of being a junior, mid-level and senior associate.   Steve also experienced the transition from associate to partner.   As a result, he knows first-hand how the pressures and expectations change after that milestone is achieved.   At David Joseph, we use this knowledge to facilitate change with honesty and integrity.  At the end of the day, all you have is your good name.

When it's time to make a change, it's all about relationships.  Trusting relationships.  The candidate and the recruiter must trust each other.  The recruiter and the employer must trust each other.  Once these trusting relationships are established, the candidate and the employer can feel comfortable with each other because they have been connected by someone they both trust.  David Joseph, Inc. has high standards for itself and also has high standards for candidates and employers.  Trust is a two-way street.  Both sides must earn and keep it.  We have and continue to foster relationships with candidates and employers who have solid reputations and take pride in maintaining them.
